More Energy, Please

Last week I got a text from one of my can contributors that said he left a bag of cans for me on his patio.  So I went by after work to see what was there.

I found a bag of cans.  When I got home, I pulled these cans from the bag.

There were three colorful, nicely-designed Monster Energy Drink cans.  They were Ultra Punch Punch, Ultra Red White & Blue Razz, and Voodoo Grape.  Awesome.

Also included was my first Gorilla Energy Drink can, Watermelon Melon.

Unlike doctors nowadays, I do make housecalls.  So if you have a bag of cans for me, just leave them outside your house and send me a text.  I'll be by after work to get them.  Thanks.

Work Bonus

I went to work yesterday to film the entire building, inside and out, for insurance reasons.  This meant I had full-access to everywhere, including places I've never seen before.  One of those mystery places was the lunchroom in the main office.  And what did I find there?

Oh, just a can collector's dream.  Carefully rummaging through the bin I pulled out some cans (on the counter) I didn't think I had.  Unfortunately, all of the tabs had been removed.  But a can without its tab is better than no can at all.

After getting home and cleaning them up, I realized I did have a couple of them already.  But I still walked away with 11 new cans, including a nice Diet Mountain Dew to replace the rescued one I posted about last year.

Sure, I made a couple hours of overtime.  But the real bonus was new cans for my collection!

Tropical Lime

There's no end to new flavors!

A co-worker saved this Mountain Dew Baja Blast can for me.  The flavor is Tropical Lime.

Not much else to say except "Thanks" to them.

More Cokes, Please

I realized I had acquired quite a few Coca-Cans I haven't shown yet.  So here they are.

In the slimboy 330mlE size (what kind of size is that?), I have Cherry, Vanilla, and Gout Original.  These three cans are from France, which explains the size measurement.  And by the way, gout means something different in America.

In the standard 12oz size, I've collected Cherry Float, a FIFA World Cup promo, Caffeine Free, and Zero Sugar variants.

So many designs.  Can collecting really is an endless hobby.

C4 x2

Another visit from my son in college, and more C4 cans.

This time he brought Frost Bitten Citrus and Jolly Rancher Green Apple.

Gas may fuel his car for visits home, but C4 is what fuels him.

Ginger Ale, Anyone?

Now for some green.

Empty cans tend to collect in my pantry over the weeks, months, and years.  So let's see what Ginger Ales have collected.

First is Summit, exclusive to the grocery store Aldi.  Then there's a classic Schweppes can.  And finally, a small 7.5oz can of Canada Dry Fruit Splash, cherry flavored.

What color should we look at next week?

Patti's 1880's Pepsi

A couple of years ago a group of us visited Patti's 1880's Settlement in Kentucky.  It's a great place to spend the day.  There's food, crafts, waterfront walks complete with small lighthouse, marina, and plenty of shopping.

When I recently did a trash rescue of this Pepsi can at work, I was surprised to see the advertisement on the back of it.

Wow, I've been there!  And a Festival of Lights sounds like it'd be a great time.  We went in the summer, I think a trip in the winter could be just as fun, as long as you bring a coat.

I highly recommend this!

(I'll let you decide if I'm talking about Patti's or the Pepsi)

Five C4

My son has revealed his secret to staying awake on his drive to/from college.

Personally, I'd prefer to just get more sleep.  But at least his method helps my can collection.

Here's a selection of recent flavors: Jolly Rancher Peach, Jolly Rancher Watermelon, regular Orange Slice, Sour Gummy Splash, and Strawberry Blast.

They all sound so sweet, but not as much as he is for saving his cans for me.

Half a Dozen Dews

There was a box in my pantry that had become part of the background clutter.  When I opened it recently I found a pile of cans waiting to be shown here.  They've probably been in there for a while, so most of these cans are older.  But they're all new to my collection.

Colorful.

These are all part of the Baja line.  The flavors include Laguna Lemonade, Passionfruit Punch, Cabo Citrus, Point Break Punch, the regular Taco Bell Baja Blast but with a newer design, and Caribbean Splash.  The only recent can in the bunch is the Cabo Citrus, and you can tell that from the updated Mountain Dew logo.

There are plenty of other new "old" cans coming up.  So like and subscribe and don't forget to hit that bell (Taco Bell).

Cherry Variations

There are two Pepsi cans in my pantry that are worth showing this week.  They are the same, but different.

The first can is the older Wild Cherry & Cream design, shown here almost a year ago.  But that was the regular version.  This is the Zero Sugar variant.

The second can is the same Zero Sugar version, but features the newer, cleaner design.  The can starts with a red background at the top and just below the Pepsi log turns into this dripping, goopy cherry and cream flowing blob.

With new designs always coming out, can collecting is an endless hobby.

Three Doctors in the House

These have been in my pantry for a while, so it's time to clear out the doctors.

This first is a regular Dr Pepper blackberry can.  I did a post on the Zero Sugar variant about a year ago.

The second is a 16oz College Football Playoff National Championship can for Miami.

The third is a can from Jurassic World: Rebirth.  This one is #1 Mososaurus in what seems to be an eleven can collection.  Ouch.

The doctors have now been retired (to my collection), waiting for newer replacements to come along.

An Energetic Week

I found an assortment of energy drink cans this week that looks like this:

First is a new brand for me, Shaka Tea.  This flavor is guava ginger.  I do like the design of the can.  A visit to their website displays an unfortunate message that the company has closed.  The tea will still be available for a few months but once the supply is gone then it's gone.  Does that make these limited edition cans then?

The next two are a couple Zyn Tumeric Wellness drinks.  These two cans are mango lychee and pomegranate cranberry.  Conan Gray made the right decision to not call his song "Pomegranate Cranberry".

And finally is the newest flavor in my Alani collection, blue slush.  As always, nothing but high praise for the look and colors of these cans.

The ironic part of this post is I've been sick lately and I sure could have used a little extra energy.  None of these cans came from me.  I stuck to bottled water.  Is that the problem?

A Little Probiotic Assortment

With my daughter home from college on winter break, I came into possession of a few more 7.5oz cans of probiotic sodas.

For Olipop, I now have the classic grape can.

For Poppi, I now have orange, raspberry rose, and strawberry lemon cans.

But don't worry.  It wasn't just the little cans she drank, she tried a lot more flavors in 12oz cans which will eventually make it to this blog.

Happy New Year
