One of my duties at work is to maintain everyone's company-issued tool list. When someone leaves or gets fired, I do the final check to make sure all the company tools have been returned.
Unfortunately last week someone was fired. Upon checking in his tools, I noticed a can in his drawer. Later I nabbed it and brought it home.
At first it may look like trash, but I knew from experience I could save this one. Check out my blog post about the tool I use to save such cans.
Once home I got my can-fixin' tool out and performed some delicate maneuvers, resulting in a new can for my collection.
I don't like to see anyone get fired from their job, but when it increases my can count I can feel a little better about it.
